Everywhere, Every Day
Winter is behind us now as the welcome warmth of Spring shines down. I am once again walking to work when possible, more than tripling my daily step count. And as I'm walking, I find humor in the fact that I'm a dogwalker walking to go walk a dog.
By the third week of Spring, my car is in need of repair leaving me without a choice about walking. I walk to the bookings I can and schedule rides for the rest. The loss of automotive autonomy doesn't bother me entirely as I long for a life without the daily need for a vehicle. In my ideal life, all my clients would live within short walking distance. Stores would all be closer. There'd be more sidewalks and a bus stop in my neighborhood. I'd walk almost everywhere, every day if all this were so.
That's the fantasy anyway. I'd also like to have a tiny home with my fiancée and a dog of our own...but "Que Será, Será."
