Where to begin?
Unsure of what to write about, I fall back on the classic introductory post format.
Hey there! I'm Dejah.
I reveal myself with a partial list of what I'm made up of.
I am a self described zinester,
Much like a zine, the personal blog, unlike a promotional one, provides ample headroom for messy experimentation.
queer trans woman, and amateur folklorist. My pastimes include
Listing interests can feel pointless, as such lists risk annoying or alienating the reader if the items fail to resonate. No person is just a handful of words. watching horror movies,

discovering new music,
I especially like retrowave, darkwave, twee, indie folk, and alternative country.
nature walks, entomology, etymology, photography, boardgames, the Oxford comma, and...
I list one last hobby,
reading literary fiction.
I briefly ponder whether to list off a few of my favorite authors. I say briefly, because my mind quickly wandered over to memories of my much younger days. Writing became an ancillary part of my projects, and not necessarily the main event.
With this blog, I hope to scratch my itch to write without commercial pressures, writing first and foremost for the joy of writing, with no overarching theme in mind. I chose to host on Bear, because Bear feels like a good cozy place for personal blogging.
Taking a sip from my mug, I realize how much time has gone by. My once hot cup of coffee is now cold. So, in standard fashion, I finish by thanking the reader for their time.
Thank you for reading.
